Ginseal Swg Sealing Gasket Graphite Metal Wound Gasket (JSG-SW)

Ginseal Spiral wound gaskets are used in high pressure and high temperature applications. Ginseal has a wide range of designs and materials. In addition, we can produce specially made rings very quickly in our own production facility.

Style R basic type gaskets for tongue and grove or male and female or grooved to flat face flanges. Inner and outer diameters are reinforced with several plies of metal without filler to give more stability and better compression

Style CG gaskets with an external metal ring which centres the gasket between the bolts and acts as compression stop. Prevents the gasket against blow-out.

Style CGI gaskets with an internal ring for additional compression stop. Provides heat and corrosion barrier. Prevents flange erosion in steam applications. Prevents also "buckling" (possibility for the spiral to spring into the pipe). Always advised with PTFE as filler.

Style RIR gaskets with an internal metal ring which acts as a compression stop and fills the space between flange bore and inside diameter of gasket. Suitable for male and female pipe flanges.

Style H gaskets are for use on boiler handhold and tubecap assemblies. They are available in round, square, rectangular, diamond, obround, oval and pear shapes. Ginseal has tooling available for manufacturing most of the standard handhold and tubecap sizes of the various boiler manufacturers. However, these are also available in special sizes and shapes. (To order special gaskets, dimensional drawings or sample cover plates should be provided in order to assure proper fit. )
